UKPHR was established following calls by employers and employees to create a standards framework to which specialists in public health can adhere. By registering, UKPHR recognise that you are competent to practise in your professional area of expertise.
UKPHR recognises all specialists on its register of equal value.
There are currently three routes to gain UKPHR specialist registration. For information, UKPHR only regulates public health professionals who practise in the UK – our remit is protection of the UK public. As we are a UK register, therefore registration with us is not recognised overseas. We do not regulate international public health professionals.
If you are living overseas and wish to apply to register as a specialist, you will need to supply evidence in the form of a job offer or visa/living arrangements for the UK.
