CONGRATULATIONS HEALTH EDUCATION ENGLAND (HEE) ON NEW TRAINING DIRECTORY FOR PRACTITIONERS

UKPHR congratulates Health Education England (HEE) on the publication of a first online training directory for use by all public health practitioners.

This is a giant step forward in support for practitioners and it to HEE’s great credit that it has taken the initiative in providing this training directory.

UKPHR’s Chief Executive is a strong supporter of the directory:

“Make no mistake, this is a significant investment in supporting the development of all public health practitioners who want to progress their careers in public health. In line with HEE’s remit, this directory is not linked to registration with UKPHR, there is something for everyone when it comes to finding training opportunities.

“However, UKPHR has worked closely with HEE on the development of the training directory and so I can confirm that practitioners who want to work towards registration will find the resources available valuable. The directory addresses the competences that we require applicants for registration to demonstrate and I am sure that future applicants will find the directory very useful.

“But our practitioner registrants will also get benefits from the training directory. They all have to comply with UKPHR’s mandatory CPD (continuing professional development) requirements. By accessing the directory, registrants will be able to access learning that will be recognised as being compliant with our requirements.

“I am delighted that HEE has taken this step. It is a considerable commitment, particularly as the directory will need constant updating. I thank HEE for doing this and I thank everyone who has been involved in the directory’s development. I look forward to hearing of its future success.”
