Maintaining your registration as a specialist
There are four vital requirements for maintaining your professional registration with UKPHR:
1. Keep your details up-to date
It is vital that you inform UKPHR of any changes to your email address. This ensures that important communications in relation to your registration reach you. It is your responsibility to ensure that UKPHR have your current email address, and for this reason we recommend using a personal email address rather than a workplace one.
2. Renew your registration annually
All UKPHR registrants are expected to renew their registration on an annual basis. The two requirements for renewal are payment of your annual fee and a completed and satisfactory declaration.
3. Five-yearly revalidation
The purpose of revalidation is to conduct a more rigorous check than at annual renewal. This monitors fitness to practise and promotes improvement in the quality of public health practice. Please note: there are specific annual requirements to be fulfilled for the purpose of revalidation.
4. Maintaining your Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
All UKPHR registrants must take part in CPD as a condition of their registration.
