Maintaining your registration as a Specialty Registrar
There are four vital elements of maintaining your registration with UKPHR. Specialty Registrar registrants are exempt from revalidation and CPD.
Keeping your details up-to date
It is vital that you inform UKPHR of any changes to your contact details to ensure that important correspondence in relation to your registration is safely delivered.
Renewing your registration annually
All UKPHR registrants are expected to renew their registration on an annual basis. The two requirements for successfully renewing your registration are payment of annual registration fees and submitting a completed and satisfactory declaration form.
5-yearly revalidation
Although revalidation applies to specialist registrants and re-registration applies to practitioner registrants, it is assumed that specialty registrars will not be on the register under this category for beyond 5-years and hence are not expected to revalidate.
Maintaining your Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
UKPHR will not impose a requirement in respect of CPD on registrants participating in Specialty Training, believing that the standard of CPD it requires for specialist registrants is fulfilled by participation in the Specialty Training Programme. UKPHR reserves the right to impose a CPD requirement on a registrant who takes time out from the Specialty Training Programme.
