UKPHR statement of equity of public health standards

Recent funding support for medical trainees’ specialty membership and examination fees has raised questions regarding equivalence and parity across the public health profession. We want to set out UKPHR’s position clearly.

We’ve published a short statement confirming that UKPHR specialist and specialty registrar registrants are trained to, assessed against, and regulated according to the same standard as GMC-registered colleagues, at every stage from entry to revalidation to fitness to practise.

We hope it’s a useful reference point in wider discussions about equity across the profession.
