Public Health Practitioner Conference 2018

UKPHR’s ninth Annual Practitioners’ Conference was themed around building the value of registration and included the first UKPHR Innovation in Health awards.
There were high quality speakers all day:
Richard Gleave, Deputy Chief Executive, Public Health England who presented on a professional, competent and registered public health practitioner workforce in the UK.
Alix Sheppard, Chair of UKPHR’s practitioner registration task and finish group, provided an updated on the groups work on taking forward the review of practitioner registration.
And in a half dozen workshops across the day, dedicated presenters imparted great learning to their audiences on subjects as diverse as assessing and verifying portfolios for busy people; opportunites for career progression and tackling the challenges of getting public health research evidence into policy and practice at a local level.
