Public Health Practitioner Conference 2017

UKPHR’s eight Annual Practitioners’ Conference focusing on maintaing competence was a hugely successful affair in Birmingham on 15 November.
There were high quality speakers all day:
Professor John Middleton, President of the UK Faculty of Public Health introduced the audience to the value of the public health practitioner professional workforce.
Professor Zafar Iqbal, UKPHR Registrar, provided UKPHR’s perspective on practitioner registration
Kate Lees, UKPHR Moderator, provided a Moderator’s perspective on quality assurance through the practitioner registration process.
And in a half dozen workshops across the day, dedicated presenters imparted great learning to their audiences on subjects as diverse as the good practice assessors and verifiers see in practitioners’ portfolios; public health practie – the ethical dimension and reflective practice.
