Update on revalidation scheme following the close of UKPHR’s consultation

UKPHR’s consultation on a draft proposed revalidation scheme closed on 5th August. We were delighted to receive 75 highly valuable responses from a combination of individuals and representative organisations.

We have read all the responses, assessed their implications for UKPHR’s revalidation scheme and drafted a report summarising the consultation responses.

Our Registrar has agreed to convene a meeting of the revalidation task & finish group on 20th September. Members of the task & finish group have been sent the draft report and its consideration will be the main item of business at the meeting.

This statement is intended as an interim progress report ahead of the next meeting of the task & finish group.

Once the task & finish group has discussed the report it is UKPHR’s intention to publish the report on UKPHR`s website. We will also give feedback to those who responded to the consultation.

It remains our intention to introduce revalidation in 2017.
