Surviving the stress of Covid

No-one doubts the huge personal and professional input of the UK’s public health workforce in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic. As regulator of many who contribute to this major effort, UKPHR is conscious of the effects of such sheer hard work and great responsibility on the personal health and wellbeing of all those in the frontline, our registrants included.

We urge registrants to take the time to have regard to their own health and wellbeing even as they are driven to work still harder by their desire to protect and improve the health and wellbeing of everyone else. We want to help registrants where we can and as part of our ongoing concern, we have commissioned two blogs to draw attention to the stress and other pressures that may impact on registrants and suggest some ways of recognising the problem and doing something to address it. We hope readers find these blogs useful.
