Registration and revalidation survey
At its meeting on 22 July 2015, UKPHR’s Board set up two new task & finish groups with the respective tasks to:
- Design a revalidation scheme for all registrants
- Review the routes to register for public health specialists, including the standards we apply in respect of each route.
The revalidation task & finish group has been set up to build on the work done by UKPHR and the Faculty in previous years and come up with a revalidation scheme, hopefully for introduction during 2016.
The routes to register task & finish group has been set up to consider the fitness for purpose or otherwise of existing routes and standards and make recommendations if it is thought that changes are necessary.
All this work is becoming ever timelier as, for example, revalidation is becoming more prevalent across the health sector; the Faculty has revised the Specialty Programme curriculum and the Public Health Skills & Knowledge Framework is currently under review.
We are seeking the views of all registrants and all stakeholders. We have designed two surveys and we would be grateful if you would complete the survey appropriate to you and let UKPHR have your views. Please click here to find links to both versions of surveys.
This survey consultation will close on Friday 25th September 4pm.
The work of the two task & finish groups will continue into 2016 and we will consult widely on their recommendations before making any final decisions on these important matters.
