Report on the future public health workforce

UKPHR’s Chief Executive David Kidney is currently the Chair of the advisory group to the UK’s four Health Departments called People in UK Public Health.

For the past few months, the advisory group has been working on a report about the future public health workforce. This report has recently been published and sent to all the group’s members, which include the four Health Departments.

Currently, two House of Commons Select Committees, the Science and Technology Committee and the Health and Social Care Committee, are conducting an inquiry entitled “Coronavirus: lessons learnt”.

In his capacity as Chair of People in UK Public Health, David has submitted the advisory group’s workforce report to the two Parliamentary Committees as evidence for their joint inquiry. Please click here to read this report.
