UKPHR to complete work on revalidation for all its registrants
UKPHR’s Board decided at its meeting on 22 July to go ahead and design a revalidation scheme for all registrants.
A task & finish group has been set up to build on the work done by UKPHR and the Faculty in previous years and come up with a revalidation scheme. It is intended that revalidation will be introduced by the end of 2016.
UKPHR’s Registrar, Professor Anne McMillan is keen to ensure the widest possible engagement with registrants and stakeholders for this work:
- She has invited representation on the task & finish group from those who have direct experience of health profession revalidation.
- She plans to consult widely this month by way of a survey
- She plans to consult again next year on the draft scheme’s proposed terms.
