Lynn Butler
Lynn is a Public Health Speciality Registrar training in the South West of England. She began her public health career as a community weight management specialist. Upon graduating from the MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health from the University of Bristol in 2015, she moved into local authority to establish a then-innovative social prescribing service, subsequently managing joint community health and wellbeing commissioning with adult social care.
Lynn joined the Hampshire Public Health team in 2017, where she held the role of Senior Public Health Practitioner, leading on local authority partnerships, spatial planning and public health nutrition, and latterly acting Public Health Principal, leading on tobacco control and NHS Health Checks. Lynn commenced Public Health Specialty Training in 2023 and has since completed the Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Exeter and placements in local government and the UK Health Security Agency.
Lynn has first-hand experience of Practitioner Registration with the UKPHR and joined the UKPHR Board in 2026.
