Susan Powell
Sue is the Professor of Public Health and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health, Psychology and Social Care at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research interests focus on behaviour change, workplace health and healthy settings and she is committed to the further development of the public health workforce. Sue began her career in environmental health and has held a number of posts in local authorities, the NHS and the private sector. She has also held two national posts: firstly as the Co-ordinator of the North West Teaching Public Health Network and more recently as the Chief Operating Officer for the Greater Manchester Health Innovation and Education Cluster. In addition, Sue is currently the Co-Chair of the UK Healthy Universities Network.
