I am the Speciality registrar representative on the UKPHR Board, joining the Board in my 5th year of training. Before embarking on the training scheme I was a pharmacist for nearly 30 years, focussing most of my career on training and education and service development for community pharmacists. I have worked in Pharmacy Practice academia in Derby and then as a service development managers for several Local Pharmaceutical Committees. I then held a leadership role for a Primary Care Trust on their Professional Executive Committee and it was from that role that by interest in Public was really ignited. I have trained as an assessor for UKPHR and regularly assess Practitioners’ commentaries. It is great o have the opportunity to be on the Board for UKPHR as it utilises my passion for training and education for all health care practitioners and allows me to bring my experiences of pharmacy education and regulation into the Public Health world.
I live in Staffordshire and have two daughters (22 and 16 years old) and one husband and in my spare time I am a trampoline coach.
