UKPHR is now a registered charity in England and Wales
UKPHR Board is pleased to announce that UKPHR has successfully achieved registration as a charity. The Charity Commission for England and Wales has been satisfied, based on the application and evidence UKPHR submitted, that the register is established for charitable purposes which are exclusively for public benefit.
UKPHR was entered onto the England and Wales Register of Charities with the Registered Charity Number 116289 on 29th July under the name Public Health Register.
An application for registration as a charity in Scotland is currently being considered by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
Charitable status enhances UKPHR’s reputation as an accredited register which exists to protect the public. It also allows UKPHR to claim some reliefs from taxation and potentially unlocks access to charitable grants, for example for research funding.
The registration details are now publicly available on The Charity Commission’s website.
