Kathy Elliott, Chair of Registration Panel
Kathy worked in public health and NHS strategic and operational roles delivering national, regional and local services. She developed expertise in improving population health outcomes reducing health inequalities; building working alliances; clinical governance; primary care; and specific public health priorities. She is enjoying getting to know her local community, as a lay member of the clinical commissioning group (CCG), providing leadership related to patient and public involvement; the contribution of the voluntary sector; primary care; and equalities. She represents the CCG in the emerging joint commissioning arrangements between local areas. Multidisciplinary public health has been the focus of her professional life, and she values the opportunity to contribute to UK as a specialist assessor and chair of the registration panel. She was made an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine in 2001, and an Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health in 2003. She has been a Public Health Specialist registered with UKPHR since 2006.
