Annual Meeting 2017

UKPHR held its 2017 Annual meeting on Thursday 28th September at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre in Birmingham. Hosted by UKPHR’s newly appointment Chair, Andrew Jones, the event featured the launch of the annual report.

The keynote speech “Taking Revalidation Forward – Sir Keith Pearson’s review and the GMC response” was delivered by Helen Arrowsmith, Programme Manager, General Medical Council which informed the audience on Sir Pearson’s independent review of GMC revalidation and the 6 work streams outlined in GMC’s response. UKPHR Registrar, Professor Zafar Iqbal responded to Helen’s presentation with UKPHR’s revalidation developments and acknowledged the opportunities where UKPHR can take into account the GMC’s approach.
